Fun Fridays

Fun Fridays and summer camp for adults and veterans with disabilitites

Again, we hope to resume this program when it is safe to do so.

Each day we will share breakfast together, participate in art and games (Marty was our checkers champion last year!)and go on an outing in the afternoons…..bowling, movie and various other outtings.

Please call 273-1861 for current Fun Friday dates! These run all year long!

In September 0f 2013 we started a weekly Fun Friday Day with veterans and adults with disabilities.

Each morning we began with yoga postures to stretch our bodies and then the students make breakfast…….french toast and scrambled eggs with toast are our favorites so far. We celebrated Marty’s 60th birthday. We made his birthday cake to his specifications (lemon cake with lemon frosting) and went out to lunch to his favorite restaurant. Sometimes we go swimming. Spencer wanted to go to the top of the capital….so we went there for lunch one Friday.

We like to do art projects……..and sometimes in the afternoons we do guided relaxation to end our busy day together. It has been so wonderful an experience for all of us that we are continuing with dates scheduled throughout the year. If you are interested please get in touch with JoAnna.

We also do yoga camp in the summertime!

  Happy birthday Marty!
This is our state capital building.

Here we are at the bowling alley. We really like to bowl!

I am stretching out my low back.

This is butterfly pose.

We love to swim too!~

Through the process of our yoga practice we begin to create an inner space, an inside opening………..as a way to honor ourselves and clear the mind static and open to the deeper teachings which are embedded into our original memory….the divinity which dwells within.
